Heron White-bellied (Ardea insignis) – India

Full Size

This poor sighting is most likely totally incorrect as this bird was photographed in Maharastra while this very rare bird is in the foothills of the Himalayas.  A local birder thought it looked like the Area insignis and in my nativity accepted his comments as I was very new to birding in India and my reference book compares closely to this bird.
