Snowcock Himalayan (Tetraogallus himalayensis) male & female – Tian Shan Mountains, Kyrgyzstan

These elusive birds are seldom spotted and on this occasion (a lifer) were just spots on the peak of a mountain some 3,000 metres up, a rare opportunity to even get a glimpse of these birds. A most challenging photo!
