On 28th December 2013 we joined the M/V Akademic Sergey Vavilov a Russian research vessel with 84 others for our 19 day trip.  Our cruise was managed by  the birding travel company Rockjumper of South Africa. Starting from Ushuaia the world’s most southern city at the tip of Argentina. We sailed to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, South Shetlands & Antarctica.   We visited most of the islands in rubber zodiacs with experts in birding, photography and a historian.  It was an amazing experience.
