Hermit Straight-Billed (phaethornis bourcieri) adult – Ecuador

We were walking along a narrow path in the rain forest when our Bird Guide heard the faintest “tsisee”; with great dexterity we prized some grass apart to see this tiny Hermit (of the Hummingbird family).  It was a great opportunity to spot this diminutive bird.
