Guineafowl Helmeted (Numida meleagris) – Morocco

This image was only noticed while editing the photos.  The single bird was quietly hiding in the shade of a tree while I was on the other side trying tp photograph elusive Sardinian Warblers!

Guineafowl are considered ‘domestic fowl’ in Morocco and extinct as a wild species (if they ever really naturally occurred there) but this was the only one I spotted and then after the event.
