Peter Hills’s bird photo collection started in 2003 with a trip to Okavango Botswana with the recently released Nikon Digital SLR (D100) that was subsequently upgraded to D300, D700, D800 and as of 2018 the D850 (46mp) is main tool but the real improvement was a 300mm f2.8 Nikkor lens as well as a 600mm lens.  Many subsequent trips around Africa are as follows: 2003: Botswana, Zululand, Kruger National Park South Africa.  2005: Namibia, Botwana, Josini Zululand. 2006: Kenya. 2008: SA, Zambia.  2009: Zambia. 2012: Cape SA. 2013: Cape & Kruger SA.  2014: SA, Rwanda, Kenya, Gambia, Ethiopia. 2015: Cape SA, Botswana, Zambia.  2017 South Africa, Namibia and Uganda. 2022 Morocco, 2022. Zimbabwe and Zambia 2023. Egypt 2022. Tour in 2025, Morocco, West Sahara, Lamzarotte, Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Ghana.
