Banco Forest is in the city of Abidjan, surrounded by the city yet when in it one feels isolated from the busy world outside. However, the tourist authorities took us in a bus into the centre of the forest with police protection on motorbike and a jeep behind!  I wondered if there were bandits in the forest? The chance of seeing a bird or creature was unlikely. To compound the situation, it poured with rain so the tour was called off.  The lack of birds and the time given and time of the day was why this site has so few species. However, everyone was very pleasant.
