On 22 May 2025 we joined a birding group organised, by Naturetrek UK, to tour both Kyrgyzstan Ruddy and Kazakhstan until 1st June.  At times the birding was challenging as many were small species, warblers, larks and whitethroats etc. often in a desert environment.  A total of 96 species were spotted in Kyrgyzstan and 153 in Kazakhstan. Nevertheless an enjoyable and learning expedition.

Frankly, bird sightings were generally at great distance so the quality of many photos is not as hoped but a record of what came to view but overall 188 species were seen.
