Adjutant Greater (Leptoptilos dubius) juvenile with adults – India
Full SizeThis is a highly endangered species, in 2008 the world population of the Greater Adjutant was estimated at less than 1,000 individuals. In most storks the sexes are differentiated by the colour of the eye. In this case the juvenile has a dark eye whereas the adult lighter almost grey / blue.
