Fulmar Northern (Fulmarus glacialis) dark phase against a glacier – Prince of Wales Island, Canada
Full SizeWe were in a zodiac viewing the massive glacier near Prince of Wales Island. It was bitterly cold yet the Fulmar flew along the length of the wall of ice. We could not get closer in case the glacier calved creating a tsunami wave that could swamp our diminutive rubber boat.
