Verreaux’s Eagle on the summit cliff of Noordhoek Peak near Cape Town on a protective north-facing cliff from the wind and most predators. The resident female was on her own for five years until a mate pitched up winter of 2018. Egg hatched late June, a snow white pullis emerging hungry for rock hyrax flesh. Reported by Tim Butcher using a 70-200 mm USM Canon lens on a 5D MkII with a 1.6 teleconverter.
