Only found in one specific location in Africa at altitudes up to 4500m; these were luckily spotted at 3587m at:

Latitude     :S 7degs 3,358′ Longitude : E 39degs 38,688

The Choughs are uncommon birds with probably only 1300 birds known according to Birds of Africa by Sinclair & Ryan
