Owl Western Barn (Tyto alba) electrocuted – Madagascar
Full SizeThis was a sad sighting. It was raining the night before so I assume with wet wings the owl created a short circuit on the power line; death was instant of a beautiful bird.
This image was used at the Pesticide Applicators Professional Association’s seminar on May 23rd 2018 in Santa Maria CA USA for a presentation on Barn Owls for Natural Rodent Control by Rebecca Dmytryk of Humane Wildlife Control.
