Vanga Helmet (Euryceros prevostii) in nest – endemic – Madagascar – Click for Notes

The amazing Helmet Vanga was spotted in it’s nest in the usual dark rainforest with little early morning light coming through the canopy. The nest was located in the fork of a tree about 2m up.  I obtained this excellent image with the aid of torchlight.
