Towhee Spotted (Pipilo maculatus) hybrid, green-backed form – Mexico

This bird is similar to the Eastern Towhee but  interbreeds with the collared towhee where their ranges overlap in southwestern Mexico.  Thus it is listed under the Spotted Towhee as a hybrid. The photo was taken at considerable distance but is diagnostic.
