Sandgrouse Black-bellied (Pterocles orientalis) male landing – Taukum Desert, Kazakhstan

Each day at sun rise and sunset we sat in the desert some 200m away as the Sandgrouse came in to drink from a small stream created by a nearby farm’s overflow pipe.

Note the white tips of the tail feathers.
