Roller Rufous-Headed Ground (Atelornis crossleyi) male – endemic – Madagascar

After several hours of frustrating tracking through mountainous Ranomafana rainforest in a very short time we spotted three species of ground rollers.  This diagnostic picture was acquired through gaps in considerable undergrowth at 1/7 sec!
