Robin Swynnerton’s (Swynnertonia swynnertoni) endemic male – Bvumba, Zimbabwe

With the aid of our guide Bulawezi of “Seldom Seen” in the Bvumba of Eastern Highlands near Mutare Graham Pringle and I had an amazing birding experience.  After searching then seeing the rare Swynnerton’s Robin darting around the undergrowth, suddenly it was in the open and so close I managed to use my iPhone in rather dark undergrowth and canopy. We were  delighted at this rare and elusive bird especially seeing both male and female.
