Phalerope Wilson’s (Phalaropus tricolor) non breeding vagrant – West Cape South Africa

This elusive Wilson’s Phalarope kept its distance but as can be seen in comparison to the three Red-necked Phalerops to the left.  The Wilsons is a larger bird with a longer more elegant bill.  The relative size with the Flamingo in the background may be useful?
