Myna Sri Lanka Hill (Gracula ptilogenys) endemic – Sri Lanka

Towards of the end of the last day our birding group were anxious to see the Sri Lanka Hill Myna as the last of the endemics.  It was overcast, a slight drizzle with little prospect of spotting the Myna then suddenly one flew overhead at considerable height.  This single photo confirmed the species with it’s diagnostic white stripes on the under wings.  Everyone was happy to tick that missing box!
