Hummingbird Bumblebee (Atthis heloisa) male, endemic – Mexico
Full SizeThe Bumblebee Hummingbird is the smallest bird in the world. I managed to get relatively close with 520mm leans and still it was a tiny image. This back view shows the male’s throat as black yet it is purple; one has to get the light angle just right to capture all the beauty of the hummingbird.
